Purchase all replacement parts before attempting to change the timing belt.
| NOTE: Any part numbers listed here were gathered for my 90 Talons. Please check with the parts counter personnel to verify that you will be using these parts - several of the parts changed several times between 1990 and 1994 (especially the timing belt tensioner), so the part numbers listed here may not be correct for your engine. |

Use RTV (silicone) to secure the water pump gasket to the water pump the day BEFORE you install the water pump. It aids in keeping the gasket from becoming misaligned during installation. Put a very thin layer of RTV on the gasket (so thin you can see through it - you only want enough there to glue the gasket down), and press it onto the pump, then let it dry overnight. |
Build the tensioner tool if you don't want to buy the Miller tools for the install. |
Verify these part numbers with your dealer, some of them may have changed, as OEMs change part numbers all the time. |
